“No one’s ever asked that before.”
A native Angeleno, Dawn is one of the luxury industry’s most diversified professionals in a career that brings 35+ years of jewels and fashion, interior design and creative writing to Moore About… Marketing.
Moore earned her merchant’s chops in the high-fashion arena of luxury retail before launching into interior design, marketing and e-commerce. As U.S. Sales Director-West Coast for the venerable House of Harry Winston, Dawn practiced some pretty intense relationship marketing skills servicing both international and Hollywood royalty. Involved with the sale of the “Bennifer” pink diamond, filming the original “The Bachelor” and dressing stars including Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Halle Berry and Madonna laced high-drama with the high-glamour celebrity wrangling of the red-carpet “seasons” Winston dominated.
Her turn as Regional Retail Sales Director at Chopard brought additional entertainment industry alliances in product placement and celebrity outreach including “The Princess Diaries” and the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. An early adopter of Experiential Marketing, while at Mikimoto, Dawn innovated the industry’s first “roving retail gallery” and produced a highly successful “Speaker Series” with Academy Award-nominated costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis and LACMA curator of Costumes and Textiles Kaye Spilker.
As an expert in her field, she has appeared on E!, Entertainment Tonight, CBS News, EXTRA, and Access Hollywood and has been quoted in The Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Business Journal, WWD, Angeleno, and National Jeweler.
Dawn lives with her 1959 Corvette in a Case Study-meets-San Ysidro Ranch pre-fab at the crest of California’s Topanga Canyon. (And wrote all this about herself.)
